Symptoms of TMD may include pain in or around the ear, or when yawning or chewing.  Other symptoms may include clicking or popping noises in the jaw as well as headaches.  In some cases the jaw joint may feel that it has gotten stuck or locked.  The jaw muscles may become tender due to these symptoms.

Treatment options may involve a plan designed with your Dentist.  These may include managing pain and avoiding jaw movements that include yawing, yelling and singing.  Eating softer foods may also be recommended as well as practicing techniques that will relax the jaw tension.
